Cabinet approves expansion in fencing, lighting on Pak-Afghan border

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime minister (PM) Imran Khan on Thursday has chaired meeting of Federal Cabinet in Islamabad to discuss eight-point agenda.

During the meeting, cabinet members accorded approval for the expansion in fencing and lighting on Pakistan’s border with Afghanistan. The performance of ministries and ministers in keeping with the government’s 100-day plan were reviewed during the cabinet meeting.

In the meeting, the reforms in Gilgit-Baltistan also discussed and a summary to give status of interim province to Gilgit-Baltistan was also presented in the meeting,however, the prime minister delayed the decision.

An eight point agenda including the security, peace and economic situation was overviewed in the cabinet meeting.

Finance Minister Asad Umar informed the cabinet about economic situation in the country and also reviewed implementation of 100-day plan. The prime minister expressed satisfaction over a report on the targets met by cabinet members.

The premier is scheduled to take the nation into confidence during his address at Convention Centre, Islamabad on Thursday afternoon, where a ceremony will be held to mark the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) 100 days in power.

Imran Khan will be the chief guest on the occasion where he will brief the nation on the performance of the government during its first hundred days.
