ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan Asif Saeed Khosa has said a lot of work is being done on the laws pertaining to terrorism and conditions will improve soon.
Addressing a certificate distribution ceremony at a law college on Saturday, he said that no one can point finger at lawyers if they improve their conduct. “Judges and lawyers are not being respected today as they were respected in the past.”
The CJP said that today each political, social and economic issue of the country is resolved through courts.
“Lawyers should have complete awareness about the law and its background. To achieve this objective, lawyers should be well-versed with literature, mathematics and history,” he observed.
Justice Umar Atta Bandial urged the lawyers to pay special attention to their character-building.
