ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A joint session of Parliament will be held at 3pm today to convey a message to India that the nation is united in the face of Indian aggression.
Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhammad Khan will table the motion to discuss the prevailing external threats.
On Wednesday, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and DG ISPR Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor gave an in-camera briefing to parliamentary leaders on Indian aggression and Pakistan’s response to it. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa was also present.
Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan Peoples Party co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari attended the session along with party delegations.
The parliamentary leaders resolved that they are united in the wake of any aggression.
Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he was pleased to witness complete consensus during the briefing.
